Fluxbridge Engineering Ltd ("Fluxbridge", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit fluxbridge.co.uk or get in touch with us, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it. It's written to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

What data we collect

We collect personal data in two situations:

We do not currently use analytics or advertising tools that track your browsing activity on our site. If that changes, we'll update this policy and our cookie banner beforehand: see Cookies below and our Cookies Policy.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• Responding to your enquiry, lawful basis: legitimate interests (running a business that responds to prospective client enquiries), or taking steps to enter into a contract if your enquiry concerns a specific project.
• Delivering engineering services once engaged, lawful basis: performance of a contract.
• Meeting our legal and professional obligations (e.g. accounting records, professional indemnity requirements), lawful basis: legal obligation / legitimate interests.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of third-party service providers to run our business and website. Each acts as a data processor on our instructions:

• Formspree, Inc. processes submissions from our website contact form and forwards them to our inbox. Formspree is based in the United States; where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards set out in Formspree's own privacy policy and data processing terms. See Formspree's privacy policy for details.
• Netlify, Inc. hosts our website. Netlify may process technical data (such as IP addresses) as part of standard web hosting and security. See Netlify's privacy policy.
• Google LLC: we use Google Search Console to monitor our site's presence in Google Search, and a Google Business Profile to appear in Google Maps/Search. Google processes some data as part of these free services under its own privacy terms.

We do not otherwise share your personal data with third parties, except where required by law (for example, to comply with a court order or regulatory request).

International transfers

Some of our service providers (Formspree and Netlify) are based in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, this is done on the basis of the safeguards those providers describe in their own privacy documentation. Contact us if you'd like more detail on a specific transfer.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form and enquiry data for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and maintain a record of the enquiry, typically no more than 24 months if no engagement follows. Where an enquiry becomes a client engagement, we retain project-related records for longer, in line with our professional and contractual record-keeping obligations as an engineering consultancy (which can extend to several years, reflecting standard limitation periods for construction and design liability). Cookies

Our website currently uses only strictly necessary cookies required for it to function and to remain secure (for example, cookies set by our hosting provider, Netlify). These do not require your consent under UK law, but we tell you about them anyway for transparency. If we introduce optional cookies in future (such as analytics), we will ask for your consent first via the cookie banner on our site. Full details are in our Cookies Policy.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Have inaccurate data corrected
• Ask us to delete your data, where applicable
• Restrict or object to how we use your data
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example as our services or the tools we use change. We'll post the revised version here with an updated date at the top.
