This page explains what cookies are, which ones fluxbridge.co.uk uses, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owner.
| Category | Purpose | Consent needed? | Currently in use? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Set by our hosting provider (Netlify) to run and secure the site, e.g. load balancing and basic security. Also includes a small cookie that remembers your cookie preference once you've set one. | No: exempt under UK PECR | In use |
| Functionality | Would remember display preferences (e.g. language). We don't currently set any of these. | No, if used solely for this purpose, but we'll still tell you | Not in use |
| Analytics | Would help us understand how visitors use the site (e.g. Google Analytics). We are not running any analytics on this site at present. | Yes, in most cases: analytics tools that share data with a third party (like Google) require your opt-in consent | Not in use |
| Marketing / advertising | Would be used for retargeting or advertising. We don't run any advertising or marketing pixels. | Yes: always requires opt-in consent | Not in use |
In short: today, this site only sets the strictly necessary cookies needed to host it securely, plus your saved cookie preference, nothing that requires your consent. If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, we will update this page and ask for your consent through the cookie banner before any such cookie is set, in line with UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
When you first visit fluxbridge.co.uk, a cookie banner lets you accept or reject optional cookies (currently there are none active, but this sets your preference for the future) and gives you a "Manage preferences" option for more control. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page.
Most web browsers also let you control cookies through their settings: you can block or delete cookies, and set most browsers to notify you before a cookie is placed. Visit your browser's help menu, or the ICO's guide to cookies for more information. Note that blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, may affect how this site works.
